So while this is possible, what you will need to do is add another lead leg - as there isn't a way to add a motor to a follow leg - and disconnect the cross shaft. In order to do that you'll want to get a leg with the same dimensions. I know you mentioned your granddaughter's trailer was some distance away, but those measurements would be needed to ensure the trailer is even.
